Time for Twos

If your child is eligible to receive Two Year Old Funding we are able to admit them into the Nursery School for 15 hours per week to be taken either morning or afternoon sessions Monday - Friday starting the term after they turn two years of age.  Two Year old funding is decided by the Local Authority and family circumstances must match specified criteria. If you need support with applying for the Two Year Old funding, please visit the team at Saplings Children's Centre. 

Time for Threes

For children who are not eligible for this funding, they will become eligible to attend the Nursery School the term after their third birthday.  Again we offer 15 hours per week to be taken either morning or afternoon sessions Monday - Friday until it is time for them to start Primary School.

You can register your child for a place once they reach the age of 18 months old or you are notified by the Local Authority of your eligibility for Two Year old funding. Once registered, you will receive a letter offering you a place for your child approximately one term before their start date. There are no fees to pay because we are a Local Authority Maintained Nursery School. Have a look at the Prospectus page to find out more.

Prior to starting at nursery school the Saplings Children's Centre has a range of Stay and Play sessions which will help your child get used to the nursery environment.

Nursery Session times:

Children attend Knowles Nursery School for five mornings or five afternoons per week. Times are 8.45 am - 11.45 am or 12.30 pm - 3.30 pm. Please indicate whether you prefer mornings or afternoons and we will try to meet your needs if possible, although we cannot guarantee this.

30 Hour offer

We offer a limited number of 30 hour offer spaces and these do get filled up quickly.  For us to offer a place for this entitlement you will need to meet specified criteria and provide us with your 11 digit eligibility code. All 30 hour offer children must bring a packed lunch each day and session time are from 8:45am - 2:45pm

Paid Places
